As the story goes...

We just got our test results back today.  Reily weighs 70 lbs. (Last July she weighed 48) she is 46 inches tall, currently takes 15 mg. of hydrocortizone per day. Her 17 OH hydroxprogesteron came back at 80 (over-surpressed).  Her Renin levels are too high.  Her Ped. now tells us that they feel she is "mild salt-wasting" instead of non as her levels are so out of wack.  For quite a while now I thought it was more serious, due to how many times she's crashed and how quickly it goes from ok to...oh s _ _ _ in less than 45 minutes !!! 

The unique signs, at least with us, is that I have noticed that as soon as she's in distress her body temp and blood pressure starts to drop. So I've gotten pretty quick at monitoring for a change.  An example, recently she hurt her finger, she got very upset about it. within minutes, her body temp dropped to 95.5, so I gave her a stress dose and monitored until she bounced back.

We are going to adjust her dosage to 12.5 and the Ped. is contacting the Endo. to find out the appropreiate dosage of Florinef.

Clearly I need to learn more...HELP!! Depressed Reily's Nanah...Karen
