Yes, you are off with the sex reassignment thing. These girls are indeed proven to be girls like Julia said. This is where education should be placed. Hirmaphrodites (sp?) these girls are definately not "classified" as. I spent a huge amount of time going over every detail of my daughter's ambuity with all of her doctors. I surely hope no one with CAH was told or their parents were ever told their children needed to be reassigned to their sex! What a horrible thing to be told. I hope if you have CAH Caroline, that you were not told you were reassigned a sex! That could really mess with you head. I really wonder if with a majority of the adults that had ambiguous genitalia had parents that were told to pick a sex. ( I know they are out there) I have heard of people that this happened to. That blows my mind.
