Hi-

I am currently being tested by Dr. New to see if I have LOCAH.  I also a 2 1/2 year old son who is very small- he only weighs about 20 1/2 lbs. and is also very short compared to other children his age.  When I saw Dr. New, she told me that she is very concerned about my son.  He is seeing an endocrinologist who trained under her last year.  But he has not been assessed for CAH yet.  I think he may be waiting for my test results. 

Is the poor growth common in a child who has CAH?  And if so, does treatment help with the growth?   I have been sick for some time, and am actually hoping my tests may turn out positive so that I finally know the cause of my symptoms and can be treated.  But at the same time, I am worried that if I have CAH, my son may have it too.
