Hello Sue W-My daughter had the same surgery at age two.  She came through it well and had a follow-up cystoscopy and vaginal dilation 4 months later.  Everything looked good.  We had this same procedure done one year and 5 months later because of unexplained vaginal bleeding.  Everything still looked good, no evidence of what was causing the bleeding.  Both follow-ups were done under anasthesia, extra Cortef before and after and IV during the procedure.  We slowly decreased the dose over two days after the increase-our endo gave us a schedule to follow.  Unfortunately, now, at age 4 and a half, she still has some bleeding and spotting and it remains unexplained.  We are considering another procedure with dye/contrast.  Anyways, hope this helps.  Good luck!
