Thank you all yet again for all your emails and support. Reina and I finally were able to meet with the attorneys and discuss the liquid cortef matter. Needless to say, they feel that there was definately wrong doing here and we provided a strong case. They were all so very nice to us while being outraged at what had transpired. Their compassion and understanding is basically what got us through the difficult task of recalling the atrosities suffered by us and others whose children were on the stuff. You all would have been very proud of Reina who is a very brave and strong woman. Amanda was very lucky to have her for her mom no matter how short the time frame. I gave her all of your well wishes and I think it helped to give her the strength she needed to make it through. As a matter of fact, I probably lost it more often than she did. That's probably no big surprise to you guys though. I will be happy to go into greater detail with anyone interested if you email me with your questions. I haven't had time to catch up on the message board yet, but I can see by purusing it that you guys have been very busy. Laura, I hope your daughter is doing well. It is always frightening when these children get sick. You are a very strong woman your self, so I know you will be alright. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. You both will be in my prayers tonight. Joan, I hope your meeting with Dr. New was productive and not too terribly painful for you. Let us know how it went if you would. It is so nice to be back. I totally underestimated just how much I would miss my husband and children. When I got off the plane, my 5 year old son ran up to me holding a "Welcome Home Mommy" sign and throwing home made confetti at me. Can you imagine the hug I gave that little angel? Children are the most precious things in the whole world!! It made me realize just how worthwhile this trip was. We have a little homework to do for the attorneys, but if you feel that you were affected in ANY way, please contact them, or email me. We can use all the support and information that any of you might have. After going back through some of the posts that I printed way back when, there were many of you who were suffering through extremely high OHP levels and a total lack of good control for your child. Don't hesitate to contact me as soon as possible so that your voice can be counted amoung the many. Chances are that if you were out of good control for a length of time, your child could have lost height potential and sufferred unecessarily due to the long period of time between the bad formulation and the time of it's recall.
