   Melissa C. stated in her post  -  Meeting with Dr. New that clitorectomy is no longer being performed in most countries.   Maybe countries where it is performed are not as medically advanced as the United States.

 

   There was an article that was written about what CAH is and the surgeries. The author explained removal, recession, and reduction of the clitoris. Also went on about how surgeons were concerned with the nerves of the clitoris and that nerves were in certain areas of the organ. I tried to find the web page for you with no luck.
