CarolDear Aysim,
Congratulations on the good news about your son! Because we have been following Chris D.'s frustrations with her child's similar situation for the last number of months (as she also mentioned to you in her earlier posts), your story is particularly interesting.
If you don't mind, I am curious about just a few things, purely for my own self-edification. 1. How was your child diagnosed with CAH, to begin with? 2. When you mention that Dr. Brook made the determination of no CAH, based on no clinical symptoms, what type of symptoms was he looking for? 3. Since your son really didn't need the cortef, but was getting it anyway, did he exhibit any symptoms of oversuppression (round face, weight gain, etc.?) 4. What type of tests did Dr. Brook run this time around---regular blood draw to test for hormone levels, ACTH stim. test, etc?
Again, I am asking these questions just out of curiosity, so hope you don't mind. Congratulations, again, on your story's happy ending...the very best of luck to you and your son!!
