Janet's observation is right on the mark for my family, too.  My younger daughter is very fair and she doesn't scar at all.  Her sister has darker skin and scars plenty (they both have CAH).  My nephew is bi-racial (Caucasion/African American), no CAH, and he scars for months from every scratch.
