Heather R.Hi Laura thanks for asking. Her endo called today and informed us that her blood tests turned out fine and that he didn't want to see her again until she starts showing signs of puberty ( 10,11or 12). I got alot of my questions answered at the appointment and I was so glad. I had two pages full of questions and I explained to him that I was learning so much on this board and he encouraged me to continue to learn. He explained that her 170hp levels were so far fine and that she really would not benefit from meds at all. He we also spoke about her bleeding problem that one day and he agreed that it was probably her bicycle that caused that . He cautioned me however to continue to look for signs and to notify him if we noticed anything unusual. I asked him about the possibility of adrenal crisis if she were to undergo something traumatic such as a car accident and he said that with the way her levels are and the fact that she hasn't shown any signs at all of the condition that it would be very unlikely for her to experience adrenal crisis. He told me that I should put it into the back of my mind unless like I said we notice something unusual that needs to be reported. I asked him about her cholesterol level because it had me concerned. Being cah kids have a faulty enzyme that prevents cholesterol to turn into the hormones I wondered if there was a possibility that Georgia may have a problem with high cholesterol as she gets older. Her endo said she wouldn't have any problems. Have any of you found that to be diffrent with salt wasters? I should have asked him but we got off onto something else. Well I'd better go. Again thank you for asking. I feel really good about all the information I learned on our visit and I feel so relieved that So far she is ok. And it is a comfort to know that if I ever need advice or support I can come here.
