My 2 year old was doing fine until about 8 months ago.  Then she started having these monthly vomiting spells.  Each time she had to be admitted to the hospital.  This last time I finally had the injection and I gave that to her before we got to the hospital and that seemed to lesson the severity of the crisis.  She just got out Tuesday.  She was fine but this evening she is very sleepy.  She went right to sleep after I picked her up from day care and is sleeping right now.  She slept a long time this morning also.  She also has a funny smell on her breath, sort of acidic.  Does anyone know what this is?  Can someone tell me what is going on? Also I'd like to know if anyone else has had, or knows anyone who has had a child that has had consistent monthly vomiting spells.  I'm wondering is there something I'm not doing right.  Especially at this particular moment I'm pretty worried.
