Thank you all so much for the replies; The hospital sent him home yesterday, not wanting him to have to stay the week-end. They said that since they couldn't find anything w/o scoping him, that they were just going to say it was a virus and hope it would disappear in a few days!  He says he will NOT eat, because he immediately gets a belly ache. On a scale of 1 to 10, when he eats solid food it goes to an 8. The rest of the time it is always at a 2 or 3.  I am just so mad because they sent him home. Haven't talked to my friend yet, but will see how he is this am. Thanks so much
