Hi, I was wondering if this condition is or can be caused by a Mom's high stress level during pregnancy...if the infant can then have this condition.  My Son is only 5 and having many behavioral problems and diagnosed so far with bipolar disorder but is not responding to meds...his psychiatrist mentioned to me that low cortisol can result from stress in a pregnancy and cause problems with the brain??  I am not sure if that is what he meant.  Anyway, I did a search on the internet to see what I'd find and found this site.  thanks for any info.
