A 13 yr old gains 80 lbs in one year, and the doctor swears the steriod medication has nothing to do with it?!? Give me a break! I can only speak as a mom who took dex while preganant with my CAH daughter, but I will say YES!! It bothered my stomach immensely; it also made me gain vast amounts of weight (as others will concur!), as well as a mirade of other problems. Although - theoretically - your daughter should not exhibit many (any?) of these "side effects" because hers is a replacement therapy, I would still be awfully suspicious when her symptoms are so similar. Might be time for another opinion. I hope you can get to the bottom of this, before those teenage hormones are in full swing! God's blessings.
