I am the one who put the first anonymous post on the board. I kept missing other shows and decided to let people know one was going to be on. I didn't know what the show was focused on or who promoted it. I don't recall any mention of cah. What I did notice was a boy who had surgery 11 years ago. He was chromosonally male and had his enlarged clitoris (or micro penis since he was male) reduced to a smaller clitoris. What nobody here seems to have mentioned, but the audience dropped their jaws at, was when the boy stated "I can't feel ANYTHING in my genitals now. You could hit them with a hammer and I can't feel anything". My daughters surgery was 18 years ago and this boys was 11 years ago. Totally different conditions, different reasons (his gender was changed my daughters was not) but surgery is surgery.Whether you are intersexed, male, female..etc The results of the surgery (the actual cutting) may be the same. I came to this board searching for info on this years ago. I got the info from my daughter herself. I felt a responsibility to warn parents of possibilities. I no longer feel that. It's the surgeons responsibility and not mine. My focus is now going to be to find more about corrective surgery. Ironically it is corrective surgery to fix the corrective surgery.I heard there may be something available in about 5 years. I am hoping and will try to find any info I can about it. I don't care where I get this info from either. ISNA may have issues that don't relate to cah, but they also have a lot of information on genital surgeries. Remember that they have people with many other disorders who have also had surgery and may have more results to go by. I don't know why there isn't more info to parents of cah girls but there isn't. I tried to get some information from DR Gary Warne in Australia and he told me to contact ISNA! But as I said my focus is on finding out about this new possible surgery. My focus is on my daughter and our family. I want to thank all of the people here who supported me. There were times you put a smile on my face when I had tears running down my cheeks. Goodbye and good luck to all of you.
