Hi Lynn! What a wonderful group of people! After reading the various suggestions, I thought I would add my 2 cents. I really like the idea of an endowment fund/program. This could be something that anyone at any time can contribute towards. And it keeps giving and giving. Susan brought up some very valid points about providing families assistance. I'm fortunate, I have a good paying job, with good insurance. Therefore, even when Olivia has a ped endo or urologist appointment I can always give her a special treat (e.g. snack in the hospital cafeteria or Chinese carry-out). But I know there are CAH families out there who aren't able to do this. Also, I RARELY allow a teenager to babysit. It's not that I don't trust the girls to take care of her. It is more that I don't want THEM to experience an emergency. End result is that an adult baby-sitter is going to be at least $6/hour for just one child. I guess what I'm taking the long way to say is that there are lots of families who need help as Susan suggested and with the simple stuff. The simple stuff could be done with perhaps yearly grants. You might touch base with Kathy at MAGIC to see if she has any ideas. Good luck!JanetD
