VCUG test

We took our 3 and 1/2 month old to Childrens Hosipital to have a VCUG test done.  When the lady came in to do the test she had my husband and I put on the safety vest, had us undress our daughter and put a gown on her.  She went to put in the catheter then asked us to wait for a few minutes.  She left the room and brought back another lady.  She looked at our daughter's bottom area and said she had adhesions.  They could not do the test.  We were told by the two ladies that we would need some Premarin creme to open it up.  After a Renal Ultrasound we were able to see the Urologist.  When he examined her, he saw nothing wrong and said they could have done the test.  I was really confused.  He said he knew what he was looking for and that our daughter's anatomy was slightly different.  He said the ultrasound looked good and not to worry about doing the VCUG.  I wish now that I had asked more questions.  Has anyone experienced this same kind of situation??

Just confused,

Beth
