I was at my OBGYN's office today and there was a new doctor (he was replacing my old one who went on a years symbatical(sp))and happened to mention some of the symptoms that I have been experiencing on and off throughout my life. I also told him that many of them were the same symptoms that people with CAH suffer from. To my surpirse, he said "Well of course you do. One of the first things I was taught in medical school was to pay attention to the complaints of individuals who are carriers of a disorder because they may experience some symptoms later on in their lives." I said "you mean we're NOT crazy afterall?" Well, I just about fell off of the examining table! I knew those stirrups would come in handy one day!!(LOL). I told him of our plight to get this fact recognized and he said he would get me some names. The one doctor he was referring to is right here in Connecticut. How AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! You can bet that I will be contacting her soon to get all the information that I can on this subject. I just thought I'd mention this to you guys since you have all so kindly shared your experiences with me. I have been tempted on many occassion to take some of Ryan's meds but thought better of it. Now I am begginning to think that this may be the answer to many of my problems. He also went on to say that many people exhibit symptoms after a trauma, crisis or extremely emotional occassion which included pregnancy and child birth. Hope this information has helped someone.
