Hi Theresa, My daughter is 2 1/2 and also non-salt wasting. It is my understanding that even a non-salt waster can show some of the salt-wasting tendencies. My daughter's ped endo is always keeping track of her blood pressure and plasma renin in case we need to start her on additional treatement, i.e. fludocortisone. To date, everything has been OK. Sorry I don't know what the normal plasma renin levels are, except that what is considered normal does vary by age. I have noticed that there are times when my daughter craves salt (she will eat salt with a little pepper out of a spoon!). I haven't talked with her ped endo about this, but probably should. I don't know if it is a kid-thing or a CAH-kid-thing, if you know what I mean. I know some of the folks who deal with salt-wasting will be able to provide you some additional information. I would contact the ped endo's office to find out what the "normal" levels are and since she is what they are calling "boaderline" how do they want to treat the situation. Good luck, and please let us know what the outcome is.JanetD
