Our Ped Endo believes that all CAH children are salt-losing, some to such a minor degree that it doesn't need treating because of the salt available in everyday foods.  Others are salt-losing to a much greater degree and need the help of fludrocortisone.  Apparently the degree of salt-losing can vary from one person to another.
