My son is 6 years old and went through a terrible time not too long ago. He was undersuppressed and had all the symptoms that you described and more. He developed dark hair on his body, had to use deodorant, mood swings, stabbing pains in his limbs and chest, startled easily, nightmares, mature interest in girls/women, got very skinny, blushed when girls were around, and developed an enlarged penis. His bone age grew from 4 to 8 years in one year. He would drop to the ground and writhe in pain saying that pins and needles were stabbing him. He had head aches and severe loss of appetite. All these symptoms can be due to undersuppression and can be a warning that he needs an increase in his meds. I would contact my ped endo immediately and insist that you have a blood test run as well as a bone age x-ray. My son's situation was caught just 21 days before he would have gone in to shock or even died (according to his new doctor). Hang in there. If his behaviour is due to undersuppression, he will return to his old self shortly after the increase. Until then, be there for him and help him through all of his frustration. If you would like to talk further about this you can email me. Good luck.LynnT
