AnneHow fortunate you folks are up there to be having Dr. Garry Warne as a guest clinician!!! I'm not sure how far south I reside from your area, probably at least 15 hours, but, if it were in any way feasible for my family to be traveling at that time in July - we would go. Even in 1989, when he wrote the CAH booklet you refer to, he wrote about an adrenal crisis, low blood glucose, etc. The emergency instructions he wrote in that booklet are correct, he also states about the necessity of giving extra cortisone before a general anesthesia (i.e. because they can die from even just the anesthesia). Are you going to audiotape or videotape this meeting, if not, would you consider doing that? Would it be possible to get copies of anything that he gives out at this meeting? My 3 year-old twin daughter died from an adrenal crisis in June 1999, her surviving twin also has CAH. I did so much CAH research after she died, and feel that Dr. Garry Warne's literature is among the best CAH literature I've ever run across.
