Re: Surgical choice, question for all

My daughter is now three and a half. She has an enlarged clitoris and her vagina is fused closed. She has no immediate health problems. Any surgery would be purely cosmetic. When she gets older, in her teens, then we will discuss with her the options available. Waiting presents no problems. Occasionally you'll find a young girl with urinary problems that will require surgery, but that in no way involves the clitoris. I can see no reason for any surgery on a little girl's clitoris that is anything but cosmetic, and since children that age aren't too obsessed with their bodies, it is inevitably for the parents' benefit, not the child's.

Wait. The technology will have to improve, and you will be allowing her to be a part of the decision.
