I agree with you Lynn all I have been trying to say is that I personally would like to know the pitfalls, I would probably opt for the surgery for my daughter.  Remember we here are knowledgeable and know that our children have CAH, there will be many that come confused with a virilized child, I think that the adults are trying to warn us to seek advice carefully, which is why I go back to saying, it is the medical profession who need to be more educated, not only in this matter but in many aspects of CAH.  How many of us have nearly lost/or lost a child through their lack of knowledge!  I agree education and research is the key.  How many if us had even heard of CAH before our children were born.  Sorry to hear of your recent problems, I wish you well.  Good luck with the fund raising.
