JillLynda,
I am fearfull too about sending our Caleb to full time school in just one more year! Yikes! What if he falls off the slide or what if he throws up and they can't get ahold of me and am I going to have to go on all field trips to make sure he is kept safe or at least can be treated quickley if he is injured or gets sick?
Your not over protective your a mother. If you were not a good mother you would never think twice about this.
Though I know I will have to let go of our son and let him grow far sooner then I would like to he will be taken care of by teachers and adults who have been at least educated a little about CAH . I am making copies of information that is easy to read and also interesting for his teachers and other adults (principals, secretary and playground supervisors, etc.) .
As for leaving your little one with someone else it is too bad that you can't find another family with a CAH child to take care of her but I know just what you mean. When I had Caleb and he was diagnosed I started doing daycare in my home since I knew nobody who had this and felt that nobody would take care to give him meds at the exact time and with the same concern that I would.
Maybe you could find a job where you worked out of your home. Daycare is great. You get to love your child and other peoples AND get paid for it. I feel so spoiled some times.:)
Best of luck to you with this.
