CARES Foundation needs volunteers!

Dear Friends,

I started CARES Foundation, Inc. a few months ago because I was surprised that there were no support organizations out there specifically for CAH and NCCAH. I knew from my own experience that there was definitely a need for it. I have taken care  of the paperwork and done some initial outreach, but need help in order to take the organization to the next level. I am hoping some of you will volunteer to help. Please email me or phone me so we can talk. I would like to start organizing some support groups, prepare and distribute some brochures, have someone keep track of CAH newborn screening and gene therapy legislation and create an advocacy listserv, have someone keep on top of the medical journals and alert families to pertinent articles and developments, do fundraising, create a list by geographic area of knowledgeable pediatric endocrinologists.... I'm sure many of you have ideas too that you'd like to see implemented. Anyway, I'm reaching out to you for help and ideas. I have a couple of wonderful folks who have offered to help, but I need more help.
Please contact me. My voicemailbox is 973-912-3895. Please leave me your home and work phone numbers, so I can call you back.Or email me at caresfoundation@home.com.  And, let me know what part of the country you live in (I'm in New Jersey).
Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Kelly
