Congratulations Laura!!! I know it's been a long time in coming. We do the same thing with making "a day" out of it. Since Cornell is in New York, there are endless things to do. Museums, the Avenues, lunch, and their favorite of all, F.A.O. Shwartz. (Some of you who know us may remember the trauma of having forgotten "Pinky" at F.A.O. last year but we got her back with only a couple nights sleep without my daughter's favorite sleeping companion.) This works so well for us that last week we had to reschedule his planned visit due to a conflict in schedules and Ryan was actually miffed about not going. Well, wonders never cease. I'm glad this works for you and your daughter Laura. You have been trying so hard to have a blood draw as simple as this one. I also know how deeply it hurts YOU when your daughter cries. So, I guess this was a red letter day for you both!!!! I'll say prayers that the next one goes even better. Lynn P.S. Don't you just love that EMLA cream?!LynnT
