Our endo didn't mention anything about the possibility of suppressing my 3 yr old salt wasting CAH son's immune system  through doubling or tripling the hydrocortisone dosage if he gets chicken pox. I'm so glad I read this board once in a while! You said we need to be careful about increasing the doses for this virus, but what about other viruses and infections?Our protocol has aways been to double the dose for low-grade fevers (up to 38.5-39 without vomitting) and to triple for more severe infections, higher fever, diarrhea. Has your endo suggested aything different ? Just looking for more information. As you have all posted, its a good idea to get second & third opinions! Thank you and sorry for the long post.
