Hi Anne, I'm so sorry I didn't return your email but I have been so busy with some research and fact finding that I don't know which end is up. I am glad that you have taken matters into your own hand and proceeded with getting these symptoms checked out. Remember my belief, which is that too many CAH carriers are showing signs of CAH later in life to have it be ignored. This is just one of the many facets that I am trying to do research on. I posted this belief once or twice before and was bombarded with emails and posts from carriers who had almost all the same symptoms as each other. I have gotten the name of a doctor here in CT and am in the throws of contacting her. I will let you know what comes of that. In the meantime, I just this moment opened my email and received a note back from the father of a child named Ryan who had a rare disorder. They formed an organization called "The Ryan's Foundation" and basically hired their own scientist who was successful in finding a "cure" for their child and other children sufferring from this disorder. I had contacted them after someone on this board had told me about a story they had heard. I did my research and then wrote to them. He said that they will be calling me later this week. I ask for all your prayers that this will lead us to as successful a story as they experienced. Even if it doesn't end in a cure but a better, more reliable treatment for this disorder I will be happy. Due to my constant battle with insomnia, I was awake at about 1:00 am and watched a segment on the TLC station which spoke about the fact that some women who had had hystorectomies had also lost sexual sensation. Some also lost the desire as well. It was something that I thought might be interesting to those who feel that their surgery caused them to lose sensation because they were working on a medication that could help the brain recreate the sensations that were lost due to illnesses, injuries, abuse or cutting through nerves (as with the hystorectomy). I will do my best to keep you posted on all of this. There is so much to sift through I actually had to make the decision to delay going back to work for now. I know it will be worth it.LynnT
