There's just something peculiar about the chicken pox virus. Every other flippin' virus with fever she's had we've doubled or tripled her dose. Our ped endo had always said, "we'll have to be careful if she gets the chicken pox..." ...so, I just HAD to ask him, "what IS the big doctor secret about the chicken pox and steroid usage, anyway?" I don't remember ever getting a real answer on that one....oh, well....one of those weird things, I guess....WHICH, by the way, our daughter is just getting over Fifth Disease and I decided to treat it like the pox and not overdo the steroids because the reading I did online about Fifth's was enough to be careful in the oversuppression department.
