I apologize for getting it wrong if it is not you. I have talked with a new mom that just had their son diagnosed through newborn screening. She said he is over 30 days old and is doing great. The doctor's told her he is a salt waster. She was amazed he did not "crash" within that time. She said he has gained his appropriate weight and seems totally healthy.  Didn't you say your daughter was in the orphanage for a certain amount of time and was not diagnosed until a month later too? My question is, was she a salt waster too? And is there anyone else out there that had their child diagnosed so late and did not find out through an adrenal crisis? This amazes me too. Unless he is a mild salt waster. Please enlighten me. Thanks!
