I was trying to correct my post by stating, you would not look in a mirror and wish you were Richard Gere because your penis was not there. No, you would wish you looked more masculine. I agree with your teaching your children self confidence. I am so for that. But all the confidence in the world may not make a girl FEEL feminine if she has a society that have repeatedly told her that a boy has a penis and a girl has a vagina. WE KNOW it is NOT a penis. Look at the Intersex group with their assumptions. But society does dictate what is what. I hate it, but it is there. I wish we had a more understanding society. But the bottom line is, WE DON'T. Unless we can put our children in a box and keep them from the world, we have to face the facts of the cruel world.
