AimeeHello Anne,
I'm 30 years old and I have classical adrenal hyperplasia. I'm sorry to
say that I can relate to what your son is going through right know. Although
I can't prove it I believe that it doesn't matter if our cortisone levels are
balanced or not when it comes to feeling emotionally out of control. My
levels were always in the right range and I've dealt with the things your son
has. I learned how to deal with it. Sports is a great avenue to deal with
this. I always feel better after I work out. I also went to a therapist that
showed me that my thinking was irrational as in it doesn't make sense to get
weepy or snap at people just because it is a stressful situation. I can use
my mental thought process to rationally and calmly think through a situation.
I realize that you probley will not like what I am saying but I just wanted
you to know that if I can change my behavior more than likely so can your
son. My boss tells me that I am a different person and much more fun to be
around.
Best Regards,
Aimee
