My 1st child (with CAH)is approaching her 1st birthday and my employer is expecting me back from my leave on a full-time basis. Since I am against putting my daughter in day-care my only option seems to be to quit a good job and loose my health benefits until I can find suitable part-time work. However a woman that I work with suggested applying for Family Care Leave based on my daughter's condition. Has anyone heard of this and if so do you know if CAH is considered a "serious" "life-threatening" condition. Apparently with this leave you can keep your health benefits AND work a redeced work week, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.Maureen
