Re: Suggestions on Transitioning to Pills?

I started Olivia taking her pills (as opposed to crushing them) early last fall (before she turned 2 in November). If I remember correctly, I didn't do any type of a transistion, I just handed her the 1/2 tablet. The first few times, I had to remind her to chew it up, but now it is no big deal. I have tried giving her the 10 pm dose, while sleeping, in pill form with limited success. She doesn't choke or anything (which was my big concern), it's more that it is hard for me to get it behind the teeth and on the tounge. If I don't, then it falls out. On a related note, starting the past spring, I have her split her own pills too. I get the pill out, hold the splitter, etc. so she won't get hurt. My goal here is to have her be in as much control as possible. Good luck!
