I took DEX with my second CAH child. It was a difficult time for me. I can really relate to how you are feeling. I had amnio at 20 weeks and got confirmation that it was a boy shortly thereafter, but did not get the CAH news for several weeks after that. I was weaned of the DEX when I found out it was a boy. If I had to do it all again, I would do the CVS. I had a hard time on the DEX, I was very anxious and could not sleep. I did gain quite a bit of weight right away but then it slowed, I gained the same with boht kids. I did not have hight blood pressure either, it was really the mood thing. I know they can do the CVS testing much earlier. Go talk to you Dr. and find the best place to do the CVS, the more procedures your Dr. has done the better. Good luck and hang in there, the outcome makes it all worth it.
