MaryJust think about it...
Many of the scientific inventions and discoveries especially in the medical field have been the result of sacrifices of some including taking away or affecting the life of others. It may sound immoral to some, but even those who say it is immoral are the beneficiaries of the immoral and unethical and unfair acts. Just think of the discoveries of antibiotics...Thousands and thousands of animals and people are used as guinea pigs for experiments before a cure or a medicine is found. I don't know the history of the discovery of cortizone which all the CAH people use. What if no one did research on it? What if no one volunteered to be tested on? What if the "animal lovers" protested against it all? What if the government or the pharmaceutical companies would't fund research? No pain no gain...Just because some suffered in the past or lost their lives in the experimental stages, would that make you not to make use of the available resources for survival today? That would be just like saying that I would not accept the free salvation that God has prepared for us through his only Son just because HIS innocent blood was shed on Calvary's cross. That would be in a way saying "God I am holier than Thou" and feeling self righteous. I know it is complex, but just think about it. It would be like saying " No Americans should join the military forces, because in a war, a great majority of them die. So I would rather be a slave to a foreign country, or be raped and molested and killed by the enemy rather than fight it just because some innocents may die in the process" . Let history be our guide and may God give us wisdom....
