It is interesting to keep track of how your endo works or in our case how their thinking can differ because we have moved around alot.  It seems that endo's work within a fairly large range of 14-20mg/m2 per day of HC.  Liam's dose has remained unchanged for at least 3.5-4 years but I have recalculated the recommended dose within the given range and it fits your observation of endo's waiting for the kids to outgrow a given dose range once they are happy with the levels of growth.  Recalculating Liams height/weight ratio vs his dose shows that he was initially on the 20mg/m2 dosage but today is on the 16mg/m2 dosage.  An observation JoanW made was that the activity of the addrenal gland in producing HC should govern an individuals dosage level within this range of 14-20mg/m2.  Liam produces no HC so it is interesting to see that he was at the high end of the range 3-4 years ago but his present endo is happy to keep him at the low end where it should be given that he produces no HC.  It would be interesting to see if endo's find the relevant dosage level for an individual child of say 17mg/m2 and stay on that dosage level instead of waiting for kids to fall out of a range and then increasing it. I hope this makes some sense, it seemed to when I was writting it!!!
