I thought I had heard as well that the two could not co-exist(CAH and diabetes).  My daughter seems so puffy lately, more so than I ever remember my CAH son to be.  She pees like crazy, and sometimes it has a funny odor to it.  She eats like there is no tomorrow and drinks constantly.  I am always so concerned about her diagnosis, especially since we have had such a rough time with her the past year and her levels-they have been completely out of whack and I often question if there could be something else going on.  From the time she was 1 until the time she was about 4, she had the worst bowel movements-they were little hard balls-hardly ever did she have a soft stool, and though I mentioned this to the docs all the time, they simply advised me to change her diet.  One doctor mentioned that she may have a malabsorption problem(?) and would have to send her to a gastroenterologist for some tests, but she has since "normalized" as far as that is comcerned.  Since my children love salty foods like chips and hot dogs, I try to keep things that are low fat and not fried in the house.  I try to buy turkey franks instead of beef and we never ever drink soda in my house, so I don't really think it is much of a diet issue.  I will keep asking questions like always and hope that this maybe just a phase.  Thanks for the info.
