Martha, I have read several articles that are about maximum growth in CAH children and they all state that keeping their levels in the higher end of normal is better than at the lower end. Many cases state just what's going on with your son: lower bone age than chronological age. They say that it's harder to make up for height after the first 2 years. This concerns me because my 16 month old daughter is very tiny, dropped from 15-20 percentile to 5th when she was about 5 months old and has stayed at 5th. Her levels are at the very low end of normal. Our endo is not concerned because she is staying at 5th. But I worry because of the drop. My question is was your son's bone age tested before? I heard that it becomes reliable around 2 years. If it was tested earlier was it in alignment with his age at the time? Thank youJulia S
