Re: to anyone who took dex while pregnant

I took the dex while pregnant, and I'm afraid that - yes - it will make you very hungry, and you will likely gain quite a bit of weight; this is a common side effect. While there are several other annoying side effects of the dex (acne, sleeplessness, upset stomach, being jittery, etc.) the only real dangerous one that you have to watch for is a rise in blood pressure (which I'm sure your doctor is watching closely). As for did it work .... YES! YES! YES! My SW daughter (who will be 4 next week) was born with completely normal genitals, urinary tract, vagina , etc. and did not need any surgeries, nor will she need any in the future. There is also possible avoidance of a girl baby receiving excess male hormones, as in the controversial theory of the "masculinization of the fetal brain", which I won't touch with a 10 foot pole today! ; ) I know that the dex is a bit of a pain, but my advice is to hang in there! It is definately worth it!! God's blessings to you and your little one!
