Chris DYes, Lynn T is correct. (good memory Lynn!) We did have a similiar situation with my son. When he was almost 2, in the spring of 2000 we switched from the liquid cortef to the pill. He was on 11.5 mg/day of the liquid. We reduced at the time of switch to 10mg/day of the pill. Then we continued to slowly reduce (6x total) until he was as low as 2.5mg/day.
Like you Cindy, I was very concerned. I double, triple, quadruple checked the pills, convinced it must be a mis-filled prescrip. We even went through genetic testing. Finally, at 2.5 mg/day we hit bottom and his numbers came up out of oversuppression. His numbers were good for a few months, now the June numbers showed possible slight undersuppression. Actually, I just posted a few days ago (below) to Laura K. She has been incredibly helpful and informative. You might be interested to read our exchanges.
Also, Cindy, please feel free to email me if you want to compare notes. Are you the Cindy B in Utah that sent me the article on filter paper testing? (If so, thanks again, I really appreciate it. I just made a copy for Jack's endo. His blood draws have been a nightmare.)
