Isn't the answer to this, as with so much else in CAH management, that we do what works? Given the lack of adequate statistical data and research, we run with what gives the best results. As Chris D has pointed out in this thread, even cutting down to 2 doses daily led to her child not doing so well.

I don't believe that longer acting medicines act in the uniform, predictable and "extremely consistent" way you have suggested, but I'm no expert.

Sorry - this seems very negative. I find it very interesting, and would like to know the mechanism by which the long acting medicines are supposed to oversuppress.
