I'd just like to say that I am new to posting to the board, but I have been here often and at one time I only read the posts.  I have learnt a great deal from the message board and I would agree with some of "Outside the mainstream Moms" words.  I guess many parents will come and go from time to time---such is the nature of a message board.  Sometimes there are a few new topics that come up and you can learn the odd snippet i.e. Laura's little secret with the "stomping."  We all hit on problems at different stages in our childs developent and it is good to get several opinions.  Looking at the first two pages of the board, I can see some pretty healthy topics and a I have found that a few of the people are quite knowlegeable and most topics are being dealt with in a pretty respectful way.  It is sad to read your post, as to me, most of my needs as a parent have been met reading the message board and that includes lately also.
