A cold has never been "just a cold" with our 4 year son with salt wasting CAH.  With each cold, we are always on the brink of an ER visit for fluids and IV Cortef.  He gulps, gags and vomits for the first 2 days of every cold.  (not continuously like a stomach virus, but enough to keep all from sleeping, and frequent re-medications).  Per the Endo, we do not increase steroids unless he has a fever (which he rarely does until the sometimes ear infection 10 days later).  I suspect he vomits because of an adrenal thing, the Endo thinks it is the mucous since he is a BIG gagger anyway.  Thoughts??????????
