Hi everyone.

I am a 23 year old girl, very confused... as today I found out I have CAH. I originally went to the hospital specialist late last year with complaints of excess hair growth and after 10 months of tests here I am, looking up a condition my doctor had to write on a piece of paper for me as I just couldnt take it in. I know she said I produce too much male hormone and a treatment is taking steroids. 

I have no idea how this will effect me? She said it will cause weight gain? Is anyone experiencing what I am? I'm seeing her again in 4 weeks where I said I will have done some research and decide whether to go ahead with this treatment...

I'm truly lost, I dont know how this will effect me... I dont know what I'm asking for either????  I guess what i need to know is.. is there anyone out there that is going through what I am? Do these steroids work? Do you put on weight as I already have a weight problem??!!

Anyone?
