Julie HCould anyone give me feedback on what the average amounts children's doses are raised by from their current doses of cortisol when it indicates on several blood tests that they are needing a slight raise? To me this should only be a tweak, i.e. 0.5mg to 1mg. I say this because I feel that too much and it could delay growth, and the last time my child had his dose raised, it was too much. His Doctor would always make too large an adjustment as we were using tablets and the least you could break them down to was 2.5mg. This I noticed was always rendering him over suppressed. Yet when my child was born, they said that after the intitial fine tuning that he would just need a tweak in his dose every now and again. I have now moved onto syrup and would like to know about this before we have another adjustment, then I can be better informed and discuss the possibility of making smaller adjustments. Thanks.
