Julie HMy son has only ever had check ups so far and has not had to have any dental work done. However, due to his bone age advancing beyond what is normal for a ten year old his teeth seem now to be overcrowding ( the canine teeth seem to be being pushed forwards and all the others overlap grossly). I feel personally that he needs braces , but I've only seen braces in kids of high school age. However being that he is advancing to that level bone age wise I wondered, due to CAH if he needs braces now? At some point isnt it too late to have braces? I need to look at this if that is the case and get his teeth looked at by an orthodontist. The other question I had is this:
For what procedures does the dentist need to ensure that the child has extra cortisol and what is the regimen before such with dosing? Has anyone on the board had their children to the dentist and for example had a filling or teeth removed and did they have local anaesthetic or full aneathetic? Did they double triple or what with the cortisol? I know personally when I go to get dental work done, I am quite stressed just having a filling!!
