Julie HI have a 10 year old son with swcah and his bone age is in advance of his chronological age--- I am assuming this as he has been grossly undersuppressed recently and had a very rapid growth spurt. His teeth have gone like this in such a short space of time (six months) and none of us in our family have teeth like his. I feel he may need a couple of teeth removing his jaw is so small ( I guess all the teeth must have formed before his jaw had chance to grow---lol---I don't know it looks just like that to me) unless there is some way they can put braces on. I guess the rapid growth occurs in all bones in these kids not just the long bones because high dhea levels are what make a baby get so many teeth in the first year and he had been over exposed to those recently big time. I am now in touch with a lady who has a sixteen year old son and she said the same thing happened to him when his bone age advanced, so it is looking more like my son needs to go to the orthodontist because she says that her son needed braces at the age of nine---but that he was lucky because they came off before he went to high school---whereas all the other kids are just getting them fixed on at that age and that his teeth were nice ans straight by that time.
These are the pro's and the con's I guess. I'll have to speak with his regular dentist and ask her to refer us so I will keep you posted.
