Hi everyone! Whew! What a night we had on Wednesday!!!! It started as just a fever, then vomiting. It's the first time that my daughter had really even vomited and it was bad!!! It was her 5th birthday, too!!! Her first crisis and my first injection. The nurses at the ER said I had done a good job and did everything the way I was supposed to and at the right time. And to tell you the truth, I can't believe how calm I was during the whole thing. My husband, on the other hand, was the BIG BABY!!!! I didn't hit "PANIC" mode until after we had got to the hospital, she was getting her IV fluids and the nurses patted us on the back. Then it was my turn to cry!!!!!! Now I feel like I can take on anything!!!! Just wanted to let everyone know the posts I read about after the first crisis you feel like a pro, YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!! And she is doing fine now, no fever or vomiting.
