Me too!

It is a sort of relief, isn't it?! To know that you've done it and you can handle it!! Good job! I didn't post about it, but we gave our 16 month old daughter her first injection a few weeks ago! My daughter had a fever throughout the night...up and down. I believe an upset stomach made the oral meds so they couldn't be absorbed. At 4:00 am it looked as though she was out of the woods with a temp of 101.5 but then 45 min. later it shot up to 103.5!! Scary! But I calmly said that it was time for the injection. My husband got it ready and I gave it. It took 3 jabs! Poor thing! The first 2 I forgot to pull the skin and reduce the surface tension. In reality, she didn't even feel the "bounces". She said "owee" when I finally got it in. Half hour later her temp went WAY down. She responded wonderfully. We called her doc and he said as long as she was drinking and keeping fluids and meds down that he didn't need to see her. She was miserable from lack of sleep but otherwise did great!~
